A two-vehicle crash was reported on Highway 11 in Chariton County on Friday, September 20.

According to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident occurred when a vehicle driven by56-year-old Amy McCampbell pulled into the path of another vehicle on Highway 11, causing the collision.

Both McCampbell and a five-year-old juvenile in her vehicle suffered serious injuries in the crash. Both were transported to University Hospital in Columbia for treatment. Troopers report the juvenile was not wearing a seat-belt or safety device at the time of the crash.

The accident occurred at 7 p.m. on Highway 11, two miles east of Mendon in Chariton County.
