A wild pitch by Andrew Walters brought home Lars Nootbaar in the seventh inning, providing the St Louis Cardinals with the 2-1 win Sunday afternoon, taking two out of three from the Cleveland Guardians.

Cleveland scored first with a sacrifice bunt in the top of the sixth. Nolan Arenado singled in the bottom of the inning to tie the score, bringing home Masyn Winn. Andre Pallante went seven innings and allowed just one hit and two walks while striking out four, while Ryan Helsley took the lead in the saves category with his 47th of the year.

The Cardinals are now 79-77 and have Monday off before traveling to Colorado for a three-game series against the Rockies. First pitch from Coors Field on Tuesday is at 7:40 p.m.
