The Concordia Board of Aldermen adopted the Fiscal Year 2024-2025 budget during a special meeting on Monday, September 23.

The board started by conducting a public hearing to allow input concerning the proposed budget. Following the hearing, aldermen approved an ordinance to adopt the budget. City Administrator Dale Klussman said the budget includes $4,438,993 in revenue, and $4,400,000 (4.4 million) in expenditures. Factoring the city’s beginning balance, Klussman said the city should end the fiscal year with about $817,000.

The board also approved a bill to set employee wages for the next fiscal year.
