Two Odessa employees were recognized for their achievements during the Board of Aldermen meeting on Monday, September 23.
One of the employees was Aiden Wilde, who works for the Electric Department. Wilde finished 4th at the MPUA Lineworker Rodeo 2024, which was held on Friday, September 6. The competition included several event, including a written test, Hurtman Rescue, and multiple physical competitions for apprentices and journeymen. Wilde says he was happy for the opportunity to compete.
Also recognized was City Clerk Karen Findora, who received the Certified Municipal Official designation from the MML Missouri Governance Institute. Findora says extensive training goes into receiving this award.
Findora also said the she and Mayor Bryan Barner are going through the advanced program right now.
