A Franklin man suffered moderate injuries after he was ejected from his scooter on a Howard County highway Tuesday, Sept. 24.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that 60-year-old Gregory Davis was riding what was described as a homemade motorized scooter on Route 87 just north the junction with Route 187. Troopers say that at around 5:45 p.m., as Davis was driving south, the scooter slipped on loose gravel and overturned, ejecting him. Davis was taken to a Columbia hospital.
