An early morning wreck on Route 240 sent a Marshall man to the hospital with moderate injuries.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to the one-vehicle accident around 12:40 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 26 on Route 240 near the junction with 245th Road, two miles south of Orearville. Troopers say 23-year-old Aristeo Santana was driving his Blazer in the eastbound lane when he went off the right side of the road and overcorrected. The vehicle then went off the left side of the highway, where it struck a ditch and overturned. Santana was taken to a Columbia hospital for treatment.
