The Missouri Department of Transportation has delayed the reopening of a bridge over the Grand River connecting Carroll and Chariton counties.
The bridge carrying Route M has its target completion date pushed back to Oct. 25. The bridge had been closed since mid-July for a rehabilitation project to replace the bridge’s deck, barriers and approaches, along with sealing the bridge structure and various drainage work. MoDOT had been hoping for the project to wrap up by Oct. 1.
Phillips Hardy had received the contract to complete the rehabilitation project, totaling $866,867.50.
