A Warrensburg man was killed in a one-vehicle accident on Southwest 271st Road in Johnson County on Friday, September 27.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the crash occurred when a vehicle driven by 18-year-old Turner George lost control while accelerating through a curve. George’s vehicle left the roadway and struck a ditch, overturned, and struck a fence. George was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Troopers report that George was not wearing his seatbelt.

Three passengers in George’s vehicle all had minor injuries in the crash and refused treatment at the scene.

The accident occurred at 8:54 p.m. on Southwest 271st Road, north of Southwest 1200th Road in Johnson County.
