A Holden man suffered serious injuries after losing control of his motorcycle on a Lafayette County highway.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to the accident around 2:15 p.m. Saturday on Route M near Davis Creek, about a half-mile north of Varner Road. According to the patrol, 49-year-old William Kinne of Holden was riding his motorcycle north when he went off the right side of the roadway and fell over. Kinne was taken to a Kansas City area hospital for treatment.
