Pavement repairs are scheduled for the next week on several highways in three area counties.
In Chariton County, the Missouri Department of Transportation will close Route E between Decoy Avenue and Route CC, north of Mendon, for pothole repairs. The work will take place between Monday and Friday, between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. each day.
Several resurfacing projects are also planned for Cooper County this week. Crews will first work on Route B on Monday from Huth Road to Old Concord Drive, south of Boonville. They’re also scheduled to work on the entirety of Route KK west from Lone Elm. One lane will remain open, with crews flagging traffic through the work zone. Resurfacing work is scheduled to continue on Route F through the central part of the county, as well as Route JJ north of Clifton City, while crews will begin work Tuesday on Route J west from Route 87 in Prairie Home to Route U.
Pavement repairs continue across Howard County this week. Route E will close each day from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. between Route 5 and the Adams Fork Creek bridge. Seal coat projects are underway on U.S. Route 40 between Interstate 70 and Route 87, as well as Route 3 from Route 5 north to Route 129 in Roanoke. Traffic on these two routes will be reduced to one lane, with crews flagging traffic. Resurfacing projects also continue on Routes 5 and 240 through the county.
The latest work zone closures and lane reductions are updated on MoDOT’s Traveler Information Map.
