A block of East 10th Street in Sedalia will close to traffic this week as part of the city’s stormwater improvement project.

Public works crews will close East 10th between South Hancock and South Marvin avenues to through traffic, beginning Tuesday, Oct. 1 at 7 a.m. Crews are expected to reopen this stretch of road by 5 p.m. Wednesday. Motorists are asked to find an alternate route around the closure.

The closure follows another extension in the closure of East 12th at Montgomery scheduled for Monday and Tuesday. East 12th will be closed east from Montgomery to Brown on both days. Crews will also close the intersection of East 9th and South Hancock on Wednesday as part of this project.

Any inclement weather or equipment breakdowns may result in the postponement of closures to a later date.
