The City of Brunswick will soon begin a $5 million overhaul of the city’s wastewater system.

Mayor Diane Rice says bids for the two projects were open by the city council at their September meeting.

Rice says most of the cost is from a grant provided by American Rescue Plan Act funds.

Rice notes that two bids were received for the treatment plant and four bids received to install the pipes. Brunswick’s next city council meeting is scheduled for Oct. 15.
