Marshall’s city council approved a measure Tuesday, Oct. 1st to address stormwater runoff issues along Boyd Street.

The council voted 6-0 to execute a task order with Engineering Surveys and Services to address a sinkhole from a part of the current stormwater setup that has collapsed near a business. Mayor Vince Lutterbie…

Lutterbie notes that the project is separate from the replacement design that is still in the works.

Also at Tuesday night’s meeting, the council agreed to an ordinance authorizing G and M Electrical and Plumbing Services to relocate a sewer line at the Marshall Municipal Airport. The council also gave first reading to ordinances renewing agreements with the Marshall Municipal Band, Marshall Community Chorus, and Marshall Philharmonic Orchestra for the next year, with no cost increase from the previous year.
