Sedalia School District 200 has signed a memorandum of understanding with Missouri State University to allow their student teachers to pick up valuable experience in the district’s classrooms.

The memo was among the items the district’s Board of Education agreed to in the consent agenda at last week’s meeting. Superintendent Dr Todd Fraley says the agreement could serve as a pipeline to attract future faculty members.

Fraley says similar agreements are in place with nearby colleges.

Also at last week’s meeting, Sedalia’s school board approved a process for area businesses to sign licensing agreements to use the district’s new logos.

Sedalia’s school board also renewed their dual credit arrangement with State Fair Community College and agreed to show information videos about organ donation during an awareness week in April at Smith-Cotton High School.
