The Missouri State Bears will make their debut in the Football Bowl Subdivision at one of the most hallowed venues in American sports.

Missouri State announced Wednesday that they would open the 2025 season on Aug. 31 at the LA Memorial Coliseum against the USC Trojans. The Bears will make the move to FBS next season when they join Conference USA. It’ll be a one-off game against the Big Ten program, as USC recently cancelled its contest next season with Ole Miss.

Missouri State will visit the Marshall Thundering Herd on Sept. 6, before their home opener Sept. 13 against Southern Methodist and Sept. 20 against Tennessee-Martin. The Bears’ first Conference USA schedule will be announced at a later date.
