Two Carrollton teenagers suffered serious injuries after their vehicles collided on a Carroll County roadway Saturday afternoon.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to the accident around 12:30 p.m. on Route O near the White Rock community, across the river from Miami. Troopers say that 18-year-old Hayden Fry became distracted as he was driving north on the roadway and crossed the center line, into the path of a dirtbike driven by a 15-year-old. The two vehicles collided, ejecting both teens from their vehicles. Fry was flown to a Kansas City area hospital, while the other teen was taken to a nearby hospital. Troopers say both teenagers were not wearing the proper safety gear.
