
Nona Kirchhoff Stouffer, 95, of rural Marshall, MO, died Friday, October 4, 2024, at Golden Oaks Assisted Living in rural Marshall.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, October 11, 2024, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall with Rev. Webster Mutamba and Rev. Randy Shannon officiating. Burial will follow in Ridge Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Born May 9, 1929, in Saline County, she was the daughter of the late William Kirchhoff and Mabel Hunt Kirchhoff. Nona graduated from Napton High School in 1947 and then attended business college for a year in St. Louis. On June 11, 1949, she married Clark Stouffer who preceded her in death on January 9, 1982. Nona lived in Saline County most of her life, retiring from International Shoe Factory in Marshall where she was the payroll supervisor, and an active member of Smith Chapel United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women.
Survivors include two daughters, Linda Rice (Rick) of Jefferson City and Betty Thomas (Clint) of Marshall; five grandchildren: Melissa Hammers (Eddie), Clark Thomas (Becky), Michael Rice (Brandi), Dennis Thomas (Sarah) and Barbara Ann Thomas; 10 great-grandchildren: Jacob, Brittni, Whit, Peyton, Blake, Charles, Evan, Tinley, Lexi and Braden; sister-in-law, Judy Kirchhoff; as well as many nieces, nephews and other extended family.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Calvin Kirchhoff (Mary), Kenneth Kirchhoff and David Kirchhoff (Aline); brothers-in-law, Norman Stouffer (Wretha) and Herbert Stouffer (Virginia); a great-grandson, Caleb McClain; and a niece, Lila Baxley.
