The Carrollton Town Council approved a street closure request from the Carrollton Kiwanis Club for its upcoming Kids Day Parade on Saturday, October 26.

The parade is scheduled to be held at 10 a.m. that Saturday on the square. Mayor Susan Bliss says the parade allows kids to march around in their Halloween costumes.

Registration for the parade begins at the Carrollton Public Library from 9-9:30, with the line up beginning from 9:30-9:45.

In other news, the council approved four members to the Park Board. The new members include Abbie Backes, Justin Lindo, Jason Miller, and Halle Goedeke. Each member serves a three-year term.
