The University of Missouri Extension is encouraging area residents to celebrate Farm to School Month in October by taking part in the Missouri Crunch Off.
Saline County MU Extension Engagement Specialist Chelsea Corkins says the Crunch Off is a statewide event to celebrate produce Missouri has to offer by crunching into any Missouri grown food anytime during the month of October.
Corkins says residents in Saline County can stop by the Extension office in Marshall to access resources to participate in the Crunch Off.
The event and competition designed to support local agriculture and promote healthy eating habits through locally grown produce. For more information, visit your local MU Extension office in your county.
