Victoria L. “Vicki” Esser, 68, of Sedalia, died Friday, September 20, 2024 at the Caring Hearts & Hands Hospice in Columbia, Missouri.

Memorial services will be Monday, October 28, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. at McLaughlin Funeral Chapel, with Tara Thompson officiating. Inurnment will be in the Calvary Cemetery Columbarium. Visitation will be from 10:00 until 11:00 A.M. Monday at the Chapel. Memorials are suggested to the Caring Hearts & Hands Hospice in care of McLaughlin Funeral Chapel in Sedalia.

Born July 13, 1956, she was the daughter of the late Elroy and Pearl Boetcher Viebrock. She was married to George F. Esser, and he preceded her in death.

She is survived by two sons, Joe Esser of Stony Brook, New York, and Max Esser of Sedalia; a grandson, Porter Mason Esser of Lee’s Summit, Missouri; four special nieces, Kathi, Tami, Melanie, and Kristin; a special brother-in-law, David Esser; her UBER driver, Jim Aubrey; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Alan Esser; and a sister, Della Ficken.

Ms. Esser attended First Christian Church in Sedalia. She was a graduate of Smith-Cotton High School, and received her associate’s degree from State Fair Community College. She had worked as a teller at a bank in Jefferson City until her retirement. She was involved in the Community Santa Program, assisted with Meals on Wheels, and was an avid Bridge player.
