
The East Central Drug Task Force, Missouri State Highway Patrol Division of Drug and Crime Control, and the Cooper County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant in the 900 block of Ravenel in Boonville on Thursday, October 10.
Due to the proximity from the location to the David Barton Elementary School, the Boonville Police Department School Resource Officer assigned to David Barton was contacted, and the school was put into a “secure setting” for the safety and security of staff and students.
During a search of the residence, a male subject, identified as 45-year-old Ryan Brooks was located and detained. A significant amount of white crystal substance believed to be methamphetamine along with items used to sell and distribute methamphetamine were located in the residence. Brooks was transported to the Cooper County Detention Center.
Brooks has been charged with felonies for possession of a controlled substance, distribution of a controlled substance, and endangering the welfare of a child in the first degree. Bond was set at $150,000 cash or surety.
No court dates have been set at this time.
