Crest Ridge not only hosted the Westran Hornets for last Friday night’s Game of the Week on KMMO, but also representatives from T-Mobile to recognize the home of the Cougars as a finalist for the company’s Friday Night 5G Lights contest.
Crest Ridge was named one of 16 finalists for the top prize, including a new weight room, state-of-the-art scoreboard, and an additional $100,000 for stadium improvements. Activities director Adam Odle said it was a good night for the district, even though Westran posted a shutout of the hosts.
Odle says the football field at Crest Ridge is largely unchanged from when it was built 40 years ago, and could benefit from improvements if they win the grand prize.
Odle says every like that Crest Ridge receives on their Instagram reel highlighting their needs will count as a vote for them to win the top prize. Instagram users can take part between now and Nov. 12. You can view their reel below:
