The Develop Saline County Advisory Board distributed Economic Sales Tax funds to the area entities during its meeting on Wednesday, October 16.

Board President Greg Swift said the four major entities are receiving $116,305.59, while the unincorporated entities receive amounts ranging from $3,800 to $75,000.

A total of $668,522.36 has been distributed to the Saline County entities in 2024. Since the tax was created in 2018, $4,321,240.64 has been distributed to the entities and cities.

In other news, Kirby McCullough discussed updates regarding Arrow Rock’s School House project. He says the township is currently trying to raise funds for the building.

McCullough says the new building will have many uses for the community, as it will house a warming center, a backup generator, and serve as a venue for special events.
