Mary Frances Zimmerman, 95, of rural Sweet Springs, MO, died Sunday, October 20, 2024, at Legendary Nursing and Rehab in Marshall, MO, surrounded by family.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, October 24, 2024, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Sweet Springs with burial at Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 11 a. m. Born March 1, 1929, in Slater, MO, she was the daughter of the late Robert H. Thomas and Mary Edith (Eddy) Thomas. On August 17, 1949, she married Elwood “Woody” Zimmerman who preceded her in death on May 15, 2004. She lived in Saline County her entire life and lived in the Sweet Springs community since 1951. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in rural Sweet Springs.

Survivors include two sons, Wayne Zimmerman of Marshall and Russell Zimmerman (Becky) of Sweet Springs; one daughter, Linda Clay  (Kenneth) of Lawrence, KS; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one brother, Robert L. Thomas of rural Marshall; two sisters, Martha Thomas Smith of Ozark, MO, and Laura L. Yeagle of rural Napton, MO; and nieces and nephews.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter-in-law, Karilyn Zimmerman; and one brother, Max Thomas.
