Two Sedalia residents were injured in a one-vehicle accident Monday, Oct. 21 in the western part of Pettis County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to the crash just before 11:30 a.m. on Route 127 at the intersection with Route Y west of Sedalia. Troopers say that 34-year-old Jeffrey Rhoads lost control of his pickup truck as he was driving north. The pickup went off the side of the roadway and struck a ditch. The trailer Rhoads was pulling separated from the truck and struck the back and top of the vehicle.
Rhoads experienced moderate injuries and was taken to a Warrensburg hospital. A passenger in his truck, 51-year-old William Johnson, sustained serious injuries and was taken to a Kansas City area hospital.
