ESPN is reporting that the Kansas City Chiefs are working out a trade with the Tennessee Titans for veteran wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins.

Sources tell the outlet that the Chiefs will send a conditional fourth-round pick as part of the deal to bring the 12-year veteran to Arrowhead Stadium. Hopkins is in the final season of a two-year deal with the Titans, recording 15 receptions for 173 yards and a touchdown so far this season. Hopkins is a five-time Pro Bowler who previously played for Houston and Arizona.

If the deal goes through, Hopkins will enter a wide receivers’ room that’s doubled as a triage unit this season, with both Hollywood Brown and Rashee Rice out for the year, and JuJu Smith-Schuster suffering a hamstring injury in last week’s win at San Francisco that has him out for Sunday’s game at the Las Vegas Raiders. The Chiefs have had to rely more on their tight ends as well as the rushing game. League-wide this season, wide receivers have been a prized commodity on the market, with Davante Adams and Amari Cooper making high-profile moves earlier this month, and the Rams indicating a willingness to hear offers for their one-time Super Bowl MVP, Cooper Kupp.
