The Saline County Commission has announced the acquisition of five new road graders.

Southern District Commissioner Monte Fenner released details of the lease during Wednesday morning’s commission session.

Fenner says road crews anticipate running between 1800 and 2400 hours on each grader during the three-year lease.

Also at Wednesday’s session, commissioners approved the hire of Madison Love for the communications division of the Saline County Sheriff’s Office, and adopted a proclamation recognizing the Missouri Department of Transportation’s “Buckle Up, Phone Down” challenge.
