Jordan Binnington made 40 saves as the St Louis Blues opened their road trip north of the border with a 5-1 pasting of the Toronto Maple Leafs on Thursday, Oct. 24 in Toronto.

Despite only recording 27 shots on goal, the Blues made the most of their chances against the hosts and former Blues coach, Craig Berube. Dylan Holloway scored twice, while Philip Broberg continued his points streak with the game’s first goal just over four minutes in. Alexander Texier and Jake Neighbours also scored for the Blues, while Oliver Ekman-Larsson got the only shot past Binnington to prevent the shutout.

The win has the Blues back to fourth in the Central Division on 10 points. The Blues make their way to Montréal on Saturday night to face the Canadiens; puck drop is at 6 p.m.
