Nearly 70,000 Instagram users have clicked like on a video posted by Crest Ridge High School, highlighting why the Johnson County district would benefit from the top prize in a nationwide contest.
Crest Ridge currently sits fourth in the T-Mobile Friday Night 5G Lights challenge, behind schools from California and Oklahoma. Activities director Adam Odle says the district’s field hasn’t seen an upgrade in over three decades.
Odle says the field already has more than just high school teams using it on a regular basis.
Every like that Crest Ridge receives on their Instagram reel highlighting their needs will count as a vote for them to win the top prize, which includes $100,000 cash, a new state-of-the-art scoreboard, and a remodeled weight room. Instagram users can take part between now and November 12th.
