For the first time since 2019, the Missouri Tigers failed to score in a football game, falling 34-0 to the Alabama Crimson Tide on Saturday, Oct. 26 in Tuscaloosa.

A Mizzou offense already missing several key starters to injury never clicked into gear, and were dealt another blow when starting quarterback Brady Cook left the game in the second quarter, having completed just seven out of 12 passes for 30 yards. Drew Pyne stepped in and threw three interceptions, opening the door for Alabama to exert their will at their homecoming. Mizzou also failed to capitalize on two scoring opportunities, with Blake Craig unable to connect on a 59-yard field goal at the end of the half and the Tigers offense failing to score on fourth and goal from the one.

In total, Mizzou collected 239 yards of offense compared to Alabama’s 486, while the Tigers recorded 15 first downs and went three-for-13 on third down. The loss makes Mizzou 2-2 in SEC play and 6-2 overall.

The Tigers have a week off to regroup before welcoming an unusually lackluster Oklahoma Sooners squad to Faurot Field on Nov. 9.
