
The St Louis Blues were unable to keep up Saturday, Oct. 26 at the Bell Centre, falling 5-2 to the Montréal Canadiens.
Five different Canadiens netted goals, starting with Jake Evans eight minutes into the game. Kirby Dach followed suit just over a minute into the second period. Colton Parayko and Jake Neighbours tied the game up later in the period, only for the Habs’ Alex Newhook to snap in the game-winner on a power play. Cole Caufield and Joel Armia added goals to pad the Montréal lead.
The Blues went 0-for-3 on the power play while recording 31 shots on goal. The Canadiens tallied 26 shots on goal and went 1-for-3 on their power plays.
The Blues remain fourth in the Central Division with 10 points. They next visit Ottawa on Tuesday night, with puck drop at 6 p.m.
