A portion of Route 5 through Glasgow will close Tuesday evening to allow the relocation of utilities.

Contractors hired by the City of Glasgow will close the highway between Kuemmer Park Drive and Lafayette Street to relocate a water line near the Bear Creek Bridge. The road is expected to be closed between Tuesday evening at 7:30 p.m. and Wednesday morning around 2:30 a.m. The relocation is ahead of a project by the Missouri Department of Transportation to replace the bridge next year.
