With heavy turnout expected for next week’s general election, Saline County Clerk Brittni Burton is reminding voters to exercise patience throughout the voting process.
She says not only will voters need to be patient when waiting in line to cast their ballot, but also when they are about to place their ballot in the box for counting.
Burton says it’s to the voter’s advantage to remain until seeing the “successfully cast” message, in the event there’s a malfunction or other error.
The Saline County Clerk’s office is open for no-excuse absentee ballot Monday, Oct. 28 through Friday, Nov. 1 from 8:30 to 4:30, and this Saturday, Nov. 2 from 8:30 to 12:30. Polls across Missouri will open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Election Day, Nov. 5.
