A Carrollton driver avoided injury after a two-vehicle crash just east of Hardin on Sunday, Oct. 27.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that 66-year-old Raymond Howe was driving his semi west on Route 10, when after 7 p.m., a vehicle driven by 44-year-old Nicholas Dirske of Overland Park, Kansas traveled out of the eastbound lane, overcorrected, and crossed into Howe’s path. Howe’s semi struck the passenger side of Dirske’s vehicle. Dirske suffered serious injuries and was flown to a Kansas City area hospital.
