The Friends of Pennytown and supporting organizations will conduct a cleanup of a Saline County Cemetery this Saturday, Nov. 2.

Volunteers are encouraged to join the Friends of Pennytown, along with the Saline County Historical Society, in a clean up of the Finis Creek Cemetery this Saturday from 8 to 11 a.m. An organizer of the effort, Brent Leavitt, tells KMMO News that the cemetery west of Pennytown on 159th Road has 160 gravesites, including a number of veterans. Participants are asked to dress for outdoor work and bring shovels, rakes, saws, loppers, work gloves and sturdy shoes. Anyone with questions can call Leavitt at 801-372-2610.
