The St Louis Blues fell behind early and had little response to the onslaught of offense from the Ottawa Senators, falling 8-1 Tuesday, Oct. 29 at Canadian Tire Centre in Ottawa.

Josh Norris put the Senators on the board just 64 seconds into the game, followed by Noah Gregor’s goal three minutes later. Tim Stützle, Brady Tkachuk, and Adam Gaudette then netted two goals a piece to complete the rout. Dylan Holloway had the only Blues goal during a power play in the third period. Ottawa registered 35 shots on goal to the Blues’ 27 and won 59 percent of the faceoffs, also forcing 23 Blues giveaways while Ottawa only gave up the puck nine times.

The Blues remain on ten points, sitting fifth in the Central Division. They return Stateside on Thursday to complete the road trip with a visit to Philadelphia.
