The Lexington City Council approved a bid from Troyer Roofing to replace the roof on the Street Department Building during its most recent meeting.

City Administrator Shawnna Funderburk says the city reviewed several bids, but the council ultimately chose the $8,647 bid from Troyer Roofing for this work.

In other news, the council approved the appointment of Kyle Johnson as a part time firefighter and EMT.

The council’s next meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, November 12.
