Months of campaigning and politicking have led up to today… the November 5th General Election.
The polls open in Missouri at 6 a.m. and will remain open until 7 p.m. Lines are expected, with a spokesperson for the Missouri Secretary of State saying the office is expecting turnout to exceed 70 percent.
Voters are reminded to have a valid, government-issued photo ID with them to check into their precinct. Acceptable forms include a non-expired driver’s license, non-driver’s license, passport, military ID or retired veteran ID. If you are unable to present ID but are properly registered, you will have the option to cast a provisional ballot.
One precinct location change has been announced in Johnson County. The clerk’s office there says voters who normally cast their ballot at the Church of Jesus Christ Warrensburg Restoration Branch will instead go to the nearby Johnson County Fairgrounds, following a water leak at the church.
KMMO will have election coverage Tuesday evening from 7 p.m. on KMMO-FM 102.9 and online at KMMO.com, with Austin Bohlen leading our coverage from the studio, Kyle Hill reporting on location at the Saline County Clerk’s office, and our correspondents at clerk’s offices around the region.
