Kansas City Royals starting pitcher Michael Wacha will stay at The K awhile longer.

The right-hander signed an extension over the weekend worth 51 million dollars, keeping him a Royal for another three years. Wacha joined the Royals this season after previous stints at San Diego, Boston, Tampa Bay, New York Mets, and Saint Louis. Wacha posted a record of 13-8 in 29 starts, posting a three-point-three-five ERA in 166-and-two-thirds innings pitched. He allowed 65 runs on 154 hits and 45 walks while striking out 145 batters. The Royals will have a club option to keep Wacha for the 2028 season worth 14 million dollars.
