The Town of Carrollton discussed the current status of projects receiving funds through the American Rescue Plan Act, at a brief meeting of the Town Council on Monday night.

Mayor Susan Bliss says the federal funds need to be allocated before the end of the year.

The council postponed action on the only agenda item, the renewal of a five-year lease with the Carroll County Fair Board for use of Walnut Hills Park. Bliss says attorneys are working on minor wording changes. The council did take action on a request from Jeffrey Martin, executive director of the Carroll County Chamber of Commerce.

The Lighted Christmas Parade is set for November 29th at 6 p.m. around the Carrollton square, with the holiday market opening around 5 p.m.
