KMMO will follow the Santa Fe Chiefs to this weekend’s Class One girls’ volleyball state championship at the Show-Me Center in Cape Girardeau.
The Chiefs are making their 24th trip to the semifinals and are seeking their program’s eighth state title. The District 14 Champions qualified for state after posting a 3-1 victory over Osceola in the sectionals last week, followed by a straight-set victory over Rock Port in last Saturday’s quarterfinal. Now 23-9, the Chiefs will face Advance in the semifinal Friday, Nov. 8 at 2 p.m. We’ll have pregame from 1:50 p.m. on KMMO AM 1300 and online at KMMO.com.
Santa Fe will face either Winona or Jasper in their second match Saturday. The third place game is at 10 a.m., followed by the championship at noon.
