The St Louis Blues allowed two late goals to a persistent Utah Hockey Club offense, dropping a 4-2 game Thursday, Nov. 7 at Enterprise Center.
Goals from Dylan Guenther and Jack McBain in the final four minutes proved to be the difference, as Utah swarmed the Blues with 31 shots on goal, compared to just 15 lodged by the hosts. Colton Parayko and Jordan Kyrou recorded the Blues’ two goals, with Pavel Buchnevich recording an assist on both. Both goals were tying goals, as Michael Kesselring scored the game’s first goal for Utah just 18 seconds in, while Matias Maccelli gave Utah the lead back late in the second period.
The loss puts the Blues fifth in the Central Division with 14 points. The Blues welcome the Washington Capitals to St Louis on Saturday night, with puck drop at 6 p.m.
