Tax statements from the Saline County Collector’s office are making their way to the county’s property owners.

The office will mail tax bills Friday to cover personal property and real estate taxes for the next year. Collector Cindi Sims says taxpayers can make their payment in several ways.

The deadline to pay taxes without incurring a penalty is Dec. 31. Payments via mail must be postmarked by that date.

Sims notes that Saline County has 12,423 real estate parcels and 9126 personal property items subject to taxation this year.
