The Missouri Department of Transportation will replace culverts in several area counties this week.

Beginning Wednesday, Nov. 13, MoDOT crews will close Route EE northwest of Carrollton in several locations. Work on this stretch of highway will take place from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day through Friday.

Route ZZ in Chariton County southeast of Marceline will also have a number of closures beginning Wednesday. The roadway will close Wednesday and Thursday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. for culvert replacements between Clark and Parish roads. The route will then close Friday, also from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., between Parish and Peden Chapel roads.

Meanwhile, crews in Howard County will tackle culvert replacements on a pair of roadways starting Tuesday. Replacements are scheduled this week along Route 240 from U.S. Route 40 to County Road 436 and Route 3 between County Roads 238 and 244. One lane will remain open through both work zones, with crews flagging traffic. U.S. Route 40 will also have shoulder work scheduled north of Boonville this week between Routes 5 and 87. Crews will also flag one lane of traffic through this work zone.
