Mizzou Tiger Men’s Basketball is experiencing something they haven’t enjoyed in 345 days… a winning streak.
A career-high 33 points from Caleb Grill allowed Mizzou to stay ahead of Eastern Washington and hold on for the 84-77 win Monday, Nov. 11 at Mizzou Arena. Grill recorded eight baskets from behind the arc, tying a Mizzou Arena record, while also recording nine rebounds. Mark Mitchell also was in double figures with 13 points. The Tigers only trailed early, when Eastern Washington opened the game with a 12-4 run. Mizzou reclaimed the lead, then put the Eagles into foul trouble to build a lead that the Eagles could not overcome.
The Tigers improve to 2-1 on the new season. Another home game awaits Mizzou, as Mississippi Valley State will visit Thursday night. Pregame is at 6 p.m. on KMMO-FM 102.9, with tipoff at 6:30.
