The Odessa Board of Aldermen approved an agreement with Daupler, Inc. for after-hours response management software during its meeting on Tuesday, November 12.

The city currently has two after-hours numbers that residents can call if there is a water or power emergency. Those calls go directly to the Water and Electric Superintendents. City Administrator Shawna Davis said this software will handle these calls and allow residents to voice their concerns.

Residents will be able to call or text while using this software. The agreement also includes a mass notification system.

The agreement was approved by the board. The response management software is $15,250, while the mass notification system is $4,700, totaling $19,950 per year.

The board’s next meeting is scheduled for Monday, December 16.
