Moberly’s youngest Spartans will soon have their own daycare facility.
The district’s school board voted Tuesday, Nov. 12 at their monthly meeting to establish the “Little Spartans Clubhouse”. Superintendent Cristina Wright says the facility is intended for the young children of district faculty and staff.
Wright adds that the daycare will also give family and consumer science students the opportunity to gain first-hand experience working in child care.
Superintendent Cristina Wright says she expects the district to have a director hired and the new day care in operation by January.
Also at Tuesday night’s meeting, Moberly’s school board swore in Dan Wilcox to fill the remaining five months of the term vacated by Debbie Young. The board also agreed to the purchase of a walk-in freezer and fleet vehicle tool bed, and voted to move forward with an auction to sell the site of the former East Park school.
