The goal is the same for four area boys’ soccer teams, but the destination has changed following last week’s heavy rains.
The Missouri State High School Activities Association announced Wednesday morning that next week’s boys soccer championships have moved to Hunter Stadium on the Lindenwood University campus in St Charles. The move follows flood damage to the World Wide Technology Center in Fenton.
Because only one field is available at Lindenwood, games for Classes One and Two will now take place Nov. 20 and 21, while Classes Three and Four will remain on Nov. 22 and 23. Four area teams are vying for bids to the semifinals Saturday, with Sacred Heart facing New Heights Christian of Joplin in a Class One quarterfinal tilt in Carl Junction, while Lone Jack visit Saint Pius the Tenth of Kansas City. In Class Two, Marshall will host Logan-Rogersville, while Moberly will host Orchard Farm.
