The Santa Fe R-X School Board of Education adjusted the district’s calendar last week to clear the way for Chiefs fans to attend the MSHSAA Class One State Volleyball tournament in Cape Girardeau last weekend.

Superintendent Derek Lark said the board agreed last Thursday to cancel classes Nov. 8, with a make up date scheduled for next semester.

Lark commended the volleyball team for the fourth place finish and 23-11 season.

Also at last week’s meeting, the Santa Fe School Board approved three program reviews as well as the annual audit and secretary to the board report. The board next meets Dec. 17.
