Two Kansas City Chiefs players placed on injured reserve early in the season appear to be close to returning to action.
The initial injury report for Week 11, released Wednesday, shows defensive end Charles Omenihu and running back Isiah Pacheco were limited participants in practice Wednesday, ahead of Sunday’s critical clash against the Bills in Buffalo. Omenihu tore his ACL in last season’s AFC Championship Game against Baltimore and has been on the mend since, while Pacheco fractured his fibula in the Week Two contest against Cincinnati. JuJu Smith-Schuster was also listed as a limited participant in Wednesday’s practice as he continues to deal with a hamstring injury.
Several key Chiefs players were listed as full participants, including quarterback Patrick Mahomes (ankle/hip), running back Kareen Hunt (knee), wide receivers Mecole Hardman (shoulder/toe) and DeAndre Hopkins (knee), tackle Wanya Morris (knee), defensive tackle Derrick Nnadi (triceps), and defensive ends Mike Danna (pectorial) and George Karlaftis (abdomen/ankle).
Meanwhile, the Bills reported wide receiver Keon Coleman, offensive lineman Spencer Brown, and tight end Dalton Kincaid did not practice Wednesday. Coleman is dealing with a wrist injury, while Brown is sidelined with an ankle injury and Kincaid continues to nurse a knee injury. Wide receiver Amari Cooper is also experience issues with his wrist but was a limited participant in practice. Quarterback Josh Allen is reported to have an issue with his left hand but was a full participant in Wednesday’s practice.
